What are the defects?
The low-beam headlight reflector clamp may become damaged or break. If this occurs, the low-beam headlight reflector may not operate as intended.
What are the hazards?
The low-beam reflector not operating as intended may reduce the rider’s visibility. Additionally, other road users may be unable to identify the vehicle in dark conditions increasing the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to the rider, passenger and/or other road users.
What should consumers do?
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by BMW Motorrad and advised to contact their authorised dealer to have the rectification completed, free of charge.
