What are the defects?
Due to a software issue, the brake lamps on the vehicle and trailer may not illuminate when the trailer’s Electronic Braking System (EBS) and/or Electronic Vehicle Stability Control (EVSC) system applies the brake. This could result in road users being unable to identify when the vehicle is braking.
What are the hazards?
If road users are unable to identify when the vehicle is braking, this could increase the risk of an accident-causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.
What should consumers do?
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Isuzu in writing asking them to schedule an appointment with their authorised Isuzu Dealer to have the recall carried out, free of charge.
