What are the defects?
Due to a manufacturing defect, insufficient clearance between the rocker arm and stationary shaft may cause the exhaust valves to remain open or become damaged. This may result in the rocker arm seizing and a loss of motive power while riding.
What are the hazards?
A loss of motive power whilst riding, could increase the risk of serious injury or death to riders, other road users, bystanders and/or damage to property.
What should consumers do?
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Triumph Motorcycles and asked to schedule an appointment with their local dealership to have the work carried out, free of charge.
