What are the defects?
Due to a manufacturing defect, the rear brake caliper may be subjected to excessive stress loads in certain riding situations. If this occurs, the rear brake caliper assembly may become damaged or break, resulting in reduced braking performance.
What are the hazards?
A reduction in braking performance could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to the rider, passenger and/or other road users.
What should consumers do?
When parts become available, owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by GASGAS asking them to schedule an appointment with their authorised dealer to have the rear brake caliper, including the caliper bracket, replaced free of charge.
