What are the defects?
Due to a manufacturing defect, the high-pressure fuel hose may become trapped between the fuel tank and engine wiring clamp, causing damage to the hose. If this occurs, fuel may leak, resulting in a loss of motive power while riding. In the presence of an external ignition source, this may also result in a vehicle fire.
What are the hazards?
A sudden loss of motive power while riding or a vehicle fire could increase the risk of an accident, resulting in serious injury or death to the rider, passenger and/or other road users.
What should consumers do?
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted in writing by CFMOTO advising them to contact their authorised dealer to have the rectification completed, free of charge.
