What are the defects?
Due to a software issue with the Lithium-ion Battery Controller (LBC) the vehicle may enter a fail-safe mode whilst driving or when the driver is using regenerative braking. This could lead to a loss of motive power and prevent the vehicle from charging.
What are the hazards?
A loss of motive power may increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.
What should consumers do?
Once a remedy becomes available, owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Ausjap Auto Consultants with instructions for getting the rectification carried out, free of charge.
