VIN (Vehicle identification number)

What are the defects?

Due to a manufacturing defect, the anchorage tensioner stopper for the seatbelts in the front seating positions may lose tension. If this occurs the anchorage may become dislodged and as a result, the seat belt may not operate as intended.

What are the hazards?

If the seat belt does not operate as intended, the occupant may not receive the full protection of the seatbelt system. This could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.

What should consumers do?

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted and are asked to contact their preferred authorised Hyundai dealership to schedule an appointment to have the rectification completed, free of charge.
