What are the defects?

Due to a software issue with the Lithium-ion Battery Controller (LBC) the vehicle may enter a fail-safe mode whilst driving or when the driver is using regenerative braking. This could lead to a loss of motive power and prevent the vehicle from charging

What are the hazards?

A loss of motive power may increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.

What should consumers do?

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Nissan requesting them to contact their local authorised Nissan dealer to have the software reprogrammed, free of charge
