What are the defects?
Due to a manufacturing defect, the roof-rail airbag inflators located on the left and right roof rails above the headliner may experience inflator end cap separation or an inflator sidewall split.
What are the hazards?
If the end cap separates from the roof-rail airbag inflator or a sidewall rupture occurs, compressed gas and inflator components may be propelled into the vehicle cabin, increasing the risk of serious injury or death.
What should consumers do?
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by PREMOSO in writing and advised to schedule an appointment with their authorised dealer to have the required rectification carried out, free of charge.
