What are the defects?
Due to a manufacturing defect, Advanced Driver Assistance System may not operate as intended. This may cause unintended activation or deactivation of the high beam lamps.
What are the hazards?
High beam lamps not operating as intended could reduce the driver’s visibility and other road users may be unable to identify the vehicle in dark conditions. Additionally, sudden glare to oncoming traffic could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants or other road users.
The affected vehicles do not comply with Australian Design Rule (ADR) 13/00 - Installation of Lighting and Light Signalling Devices on other than L-Group Vehicles.

What should consumers do?
