What are the defects?

Due to a manufacturing issue, some of the cell modules installed in the high voltage battery may overheat at high charge levels. If this occurs, it could lead to a vehicle fire.
Note: Keep the battery charge level below 70% which can be set in the charging setting menu on the vehicle display.

What are the hazards?

A vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users and bystanders, and/or damage to property.

What should consumers do?

Note: This recall supersedes REC-006551.

Until parts become available owners should keep the battery charge level below 70%. This can be set in the Charging setting menu in the vehicle display.

Instructions: Setting a target battery level for charging.
1. Press the vehicle symbol in the bottom bar of the display and go to Settings.
2. Go to Charging → Target battery level.
3. Set your charge level to maximum 70%.

Owners will be contacted as parts become available to have the repair carried out.
