What are the defects?

Due to a manufacturing issue, the main wiring harness may be incorrectly routed causing the fuel feed hose to disconnect. If this occurs, fuel may leak in the presence of an external ignition source resulting in a vehicle fire.

What are the hazards?

A vehicle fire may increase the risk of serious injury or death to the rider, other road users, bystanders, and/or damage to property.

What should consumers do?

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Honda Australia Motorcycles asking them to schedule an appointment at an authorised Honda Motorcycle Dealer to have the repair carried out, free of charge.

Please monitor your motorcycle for any signs of fuel leakage. If you notice a fuel leak, stop riding immediately and contact your authorised Honda Motorcycle dealer so they can inspect your motorcycle.
