What are the defects?

Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel pipe may become damaged over time, caused by vibration and extended high RPM usage. If this occurs, fuel may leak potentially causing a loss of motive power whilst driving. Fuel leak in the presence of an external ignition source could result in a vehicle fire.

What are the hazards?

A loss of motive power or vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users, bystanders and/or damage to property.

What should consumers do?

Repair activity is currently under preparation, once the repair action is available Mazda Australia will contact all affected customers to advise them to present their vehicle to their preferred Mazda Dealer to replace the fuel pipe with a modified one.

Consumers who require further information should contact Mazda Call Centre on 1800 034 411.
