What are the defects?

The gas exhaust unit may not have been fitted with the required minimum 300mm distance from a combustion air intake, flue terminal ventilator, opening port, hatch or window to minimise fumes re-entering the caravan.

What are the hazards?

When operating components powered by gas in the enclosed area of the caravan, carbon monoxide may re-enter the vehicle and present a risk of poisoning, which could cause serious illness, injury or death.

What should consumers do?

HOW TO CHECK IF YOU ARE AFFECTED:
- Measure from the peripheral of the gas exhaust to the nearest section of a combustion air intake, another flue terminal ventilator, opening port, hatch, or window, as shown in the diagram in Attachment A.
- Measurement must be a minimum of 300mm.
- Take a photo showing measurement including the tape measure in the image and email at service@zonerv.com.au for verification by our Service Team.
- Please include your ZONE RV Van Number AND Best contact number and email address

THE SOLUTION (IF AFFECTED)
If your caravan is affected please liaise with our Service Team to organise the re-location of the exhaust with an approved Zone RV repair agent. The labour and material costs are covered by Zone RV.
