What are the defects?

Potential non-conformity of the air bag and the seat belt pretensioners Electronic Control Unit (ECU) could lead to power supply failure, causing the vehicles air bags and/or the seat belt pretensioners to activate or deactivate, and the air bag warning light on the instrument panel to turn on.

What are the hazards?

If the air bag and seat belt pretensioners Electronic Control Unit fails, the air bags and seat belts may not function correctly, increasing the risk of an accident and injury to the vehicle occupants and other road users.

What should consumers do?

Owners of affected vehicles should contact their local Ferrari dealership or Ferrari Australasia to arrange for a replacement TRW Airbag Electronic Control Unit to be installed, free of charge.

For further information, contact Ferrari Australasia direct on 1800 234 392 (24 hours, Monday to Sunday AEST).
